As an artist, Tamara Tigner Photography wishes to have complete control over the final look of her clients’ images, and scanned images damage her reputation as a photographer by distorting and devaluing the image quality.
Furthermore, photography is Tamara Tigner Photography livelihood, how she supports her family. One or two people scanning may not have an effect on her business, but imagine if it were more than one or two people. That would have an impact on her business, as well as her family.
“But don’t I own images of my own child?”
When a photographer takes images of you or your child, the images are copyrighted. You have the permission to hang the images up in your home and enjoy them; you do not have permission to make copies of the images.
